I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue with online gameplay.

  • You mentioned selecting “play online” and then get the error message. Can you confirm this is before you have the option to click host game or join game?
  • Is the first time you’ve tried online gameplay or have you been able to play before?
  • Please check your firewall settings to ensure Stranded Deep has permission to access online gameplay
  • If you have any mods installed, please try uninstalling them and trying to play online to see if that helps at all.
  • If you recently updated your OS, please ensure your clock time and date is synced correctly.
  • Please also try validating your game files to ensure the game installed correctly, especially if you updated it recently
