As the title implies it would be great to be able to mount a compass onto our rafts so then we can still see the direction we are going while controlling the raft.
Currently we have to release the rudder then get the compass out to check direction then put the compass away then grab the rudder again.

I was about to suggest this very thing and you already did it. 
Some small little unit about a container high. So you can use your rudder and only have to look down. I don’t want anything that blocks my view either.
YES, this is annoying! When the player has compass within his inventory, that would be nice to see without stopping controlling the raft. This is especially annoying if your raft isn’t in balance and is drifting either to left or right (not straight) and you need to anchor it too.
