You should have maximum crafting, I believe this returns most of the time 100% of structures or max allowed for recovering destroyed items
When your refined Axe gets low, like even wait until 1%, use it to make a plank station, I think you need to make 10-20 planks, not sure it works if you don’t.
Use another Axe to destroy the planks station and the recovered refined Axe will be at 100%
