I was going to say this very thing. You aren’t going to run out of food if you do it this way. Truthfully, I really don’t do this, and I’ve been fine with food for over 100 days. I just refuse to beat the game.

If you’re going into this game as realistic then No not really. The things you create a lot of times can’t be done. You need more tools than what you are given. Considering that as a whole then you are already playing a fake simulator. Also, plant life doesn’t grow so quickly either. Just have fun with the game. Also, if it is built into the game it isn’t really cheating. You have the option to use the feature or not which I don’t much anyway. Just make fruit trees and you’ll never run out of food and water. Don’t pick the last one and it’ll just keep growing over the other,

Lol na I’m good, simply giving a suggestion, that you disagree with. If you choose or not to use it doesn’t hurt me either way lol

Maybe Island creation in the PC version is cheating. But the Console version of the Cartographer / Map editor is limited. Of course you can generate an Island that got more as the average Island made by the game. But in case you didn’t run it yet a short overview.

Clay deposit max. 8, Stone deposit max. 3, sticks 25 max., rocks 20 max., planks 5 max., corrugated Iron 5 max. In hard numbers given by the editor. However for the rest you have the risk of getting the message that the Island is to full. You can only place X amount of trees, X amount rocks/cliffs, X amount of (ship)wrecks. And if you do your best within the limits of the console version to create a proper and balanced looking Island, you will never make an Island that feels like cheating.

You can reset it evrytime

I was replying to your post about it filling with loot, I just seem to have clicked reply on the wrong post you wrote. In no way a self created Island can make you feel you are cheating in-game. The only way is going out of the game, reset and go back in. Beside that if you do it for diversification then loading the same island everytime becomes dull and boring. That is for me a reason not to reset it (everytime).

I have seen what the PC edition can do. There you can make a real piece of art. I would swap there the islands often to see my own creations…

This is true, when I make a resource island, I add and take away as I need so I can build up food, containers, wood, and plant fiber

I think the community just needs to know that they have been heard and are actually been listened to.

Transparency is always a good thing.

Thank you Lothaer, I understand that but I will look into clearer messaging on my part and will share the feedback with the team also.

Going on 4 months with no actual word from the development team, just the lovely community manager, Clare.

Still no new updates I see. I’ve been wanting to get back into this game actually. I’ll try to play this weekend. I’m sure the console team is working hard to get us a new update.

Waiting for news about the console update…

Is it really abandoned?

Hi Prudhvi,

No, it is not abandoned, please see my comments above.

Thank you …
I really hope the next update for console to have huge content!

It will be 2 bigfixes and a performance tweak.
