Could anyone tell me how to go into cartographer and zoom out to see full map so i can screen capture the whole map to take notes. I do use a ps4 controller on windows 10 so that would be best but i can load into it without it connected if needed to get the same result.

You can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to get the full picture in the cartographer.
To the best of my knowledge there is no mapping for this on controller on PC at the moment.
I will investigate.
Thanks Night_Snake i will dig out a mouse later as i am in the middle of a move and run on laptop, This is a great helpful reply.
If your laptop has a touchpad you may be able to scroll by dragging two fingers up/down the pad at the same time.
Yep that worked, i forgot i disabled all the extra touchpad settings when i bought it as most of the swiping is annoying. Thanks again.
