I have 500 days in hard permadeath. It was showing up on the top of the leaderboard but now it only shows im at 414 in 3rd place. What gives?

I moved your post to a bug report topic as I wanted to discuss this issue directly with you and it was slightly different to the general discussion post you commented on.
With regards to the placing on the leaderboard, is the leaderboard still showing the incorrect days and placement for you?
If you checked after reaching 500, it is possible the leaderboards had not yet synced with your new achievement, however if this has still not updated for you, I will inform the team that there may be an issue in how the leaderboards are recording information.
