What is the morning glory plant for?

I moved your post to “General Discussion” as it was a question rather than a suggestion for the game.
This plant does not currently have a crafting use within the game, however is it required for the “Who needs the sea anyway” trophy.
For reference other players, Morning Glory is the alternative name for the Wavulavula plant and as far as I’m aware that is what the name in most localised languages for Stranded Deep will translate into when translated into English.
