# \[Steam\]\[1.0.38.0.29\]\[Cartographer\] What happened to the smooth tool in the cartographer?

Been making an island after a long break and found that the smooth tool does not produce smooth beaches anymore. The beaches look terrible now, all blocky and weird triangles. What happened!? Is this a glitch that can be fixed?
