A few people have spotted flying animals. I don’t know the exact steps to reproduce but it happens when they are far enough from the player but already spawned.

It seems to be happening when there’s wildlife (pigs, crabs) on an island you visit, you go for a swim some distance away from the island, and come back. Those animals get respawned in the air.
